Disassemble and Reassembled

Blackened copper and Stone from Mount Apatite in Maine
Set of 3: size variable
“Disassemble and Reassembled” was made separately with three stones picked from Mount Apatite in Maine. When I picked up the stones during the field trip, I found that most of the stones had two or more substances that were tightly clasped together. I disassemble different substances from the same stone, then reassembled them on the same ring.
It let me realize where you come from will affect the work you do, although that’s just my personal perception. These works are all based on stone as the raw material in class. My creation was in a geometric shape with a tiny scale obviously when comparing to other colleges. I realized our difference because of the living environment we are from. Remove the uneven shape and surface of rocks to a flat and neat surface that shows the living conditions of mine.
